The New Member of the Supreme Court Said in 2006 He'd Faithfully Follow Roe V Wade

brett kavanaugh, once a clerk to anthony kennedy, whom recently retired from the supreme court after roughly 30 years of service, is now officially, member of the supreme court. imagine that: the clerk to the judge stepping down, is now on the supreme court. sounds like a no-brainer, after all, serving kennedy, brett learned the most. he saw his boss be the swing, the pendulum needed in the highest court of the land, to pass that which would greatly affect united states' society.

many found it odd to begin with kennedy would retire. seeing how superstar, rbg keeps on going. seeing how nutty the administration is--he would be needed throughout this term to keep all balanced. but, since the travel ban was recently allowed, who cares? its still a mystery why he'd choose to opt out now. at this moment. some cited close relations between the trumps and tony kennedy's family. money and so on. it's also been said to be chosen as the next supreme court judge, some money and flips on decisions helps.

brett kavanaugh in 2006, said he would follow roe v wade "faithfully and fully". and while he spoke out against his 2017 appellate court's decision to allow a 17-year old immigrant receive an abortion, he refused to sign a proclamation, immigrants did not have constitutional right to an abortion. he's a flip-flopper. but at 53, and with two daughters, one can only hope he'd continue to see some light, and be on the ethical side of abortion decisions. would he overturn roe v wade? if he's to be anything like his old boss, then no. he wouldn't. how could he sleep after overturning it? what would his family think of him. his mom is a teacher in the dc area. he's a charitable person: helps people, and donates his time to tutoring kids.

but he could flip. he could be that asshole we've all been waiting for. but to think this way is only negative and doesn't do any good. those on the inside have indeed compared him to justice kennedy. perhaps brett will be middle of the road, with conservative leftist ethics and morals. but was he the best choice? was this what's best for society for many years to come? will kavanaugh be able to pick up where the justice kennedy legacy ended off? only brett himself knows. only he knows which way he'll face abortion in the second term, healthcare and the ultimate destruction of all facets of obamacare. brett has been in the washington dc appellate court for 12 years. he certainly has his share of experience and exposure to epic legal matters.

kavanaugh is awkward as heaven. he's a goofball and his family gets easily embarrassed around him. the announcement from trump featured a shotout to regan's ed meese. which should have been followed by a large gasp, rather than the cheesy, lame and endless applause. when trump announced brett's full name as his choice for the next justice of the supreme court, the short-as-depp goofball, walked out with his family, all like cute crabs...sideways. he, behind his two litttle daughters (yet, both almost taller than their pop), arms on their shoulders, while mrs. new justice, stood cringely to the side, smiling at her pals.

trump made it clear he wanted a judge to take away reproductive rights away from women. the question remains now whether brett can flip on his 2006 assertion.

Black Women Are Dying More Than You Know

move over, suicidal white males and unarmed black youth ages 14-24-african american women are presently dying faster than any other group within the united states. the reports and recent articles on the subject are heartbreaking and certainly in no way meant to pull focus from the other groups, aforementioned. but consider this: black women are three times more likely to die while giving birth than any other race. a staggering number to say the least.

in addition to the high rates of death for black women giving birth, there's also diabetes, obesity and heart-related issues which contribute to such high mortality numbers. in an "atlantic" article, olga khazan writes, "across the united states, black people suffer disproportionately from some of the most devastating health problems, from cancer deaths and diabetes to maternal mortality and preterm births. although the racial disparity in early death has narrowed in recent decades, black people have the life expectancy, nationwide, that white people had in the 1980s—about three years shorter than the current white life expectancy. african americans face a greater risk of death at practically every stage of life."

black women seldom receive top-notch hospital/doctor healthcare. they pass during pregnancy for a variety of medical reasons. some of these reasons would not exist if the patients received better attention and care. blood loss, improper pain relief dosing, &c...

it's seemingly all too easy these days for bigot sexists to slam maxine waters. oprah winfrey and other strong, successful black women. being the country is run on racism and closed mindedness, such pig-headed ideology has not only become acceptable, it's often encouraged. remember, if one slips a fist to the face of a protester at a trump rally, he'll cover the legal costs. and despite the extreme death tolls for african-american women, nothing is more important right now than confusing and abusing families seeking asylum, meeting with murdering leaders around the world; and keeping the corruption wheel spinning.

roe v wade will never be overturned because too many politicians' mistresses get pregnant. besides, if somehow given to state rule, one might only imagine how many more black women would pass away due to botched, or "do-it-yourself" abortions. is that what it would take for society to realize how many brown women die in this country? trump doesn't care about refugees' health, and pretends to care about his own citizens', yet knows very little. he eats cheeseburgers in bed. the past few presidents have, themselves, kept active while their first ladies promoted eating healthier and exercise. trump plays golf and opens diet coke cans.

america will tell you to join a gym, then suggest big is beautiful and to be yourself. but which is it? some actresses are told to get rail thin, others asked to stay big. who tells the obese african-american female to exercise? and why would she? where and what are the incentives when better health isn't quite enough? how exactly can one eat healthier when such organic foods and good produce cost way more than what the local dollar store and fast food joint have to offer.

who, other than themselves, is looking out for this group? this group whose children are subject to constant racial profiling while their male partners face incarceration. americans. worthy of any and all of society's attention. alas, seeing how puerto rico is still waiting for support and electricity in most areas, unless there's money to be had in figuring out how to best improve and prolong the lives of women who empower their communities, it will certainly take some time.

The EPA is Extinct

scott pruitt, the man responsible for the environmental protection agency's day-to-day actions, resigned. rather, he stepped away from corruption, unethical behavior and lavishly spending tax payers' money. he took numerous trips and always flew first class. he had a soundproof box built in his office so no one could dare hear a whisper of his phone conversations. pruitt managed to roll back years of climate change policy and actions meant to protect the planet. he was instrumental is convincing trump to get out of the paris accord, an agreement backed by numerous nations in order to monitor their respective carbon, and otherwise, footprints.

in addition to lobbyists hooking pruitt up with cheap airb&b-type luxury apartments, it was recently reported he asked aides to find work for his wife. mrs. pruitt also made off with six-figure salaries for doing next to nothing for various groups and organizations. instead of going to court and getting legal, the worse head of the epa resigned and is officially out on monday, july 9th.

picking up where pruitt leaves off, andrew wheeler, a coal lobbyist, is expected to give americans more of the same. same lack of ethics and morals, different suit. but since this is on the heels of trump hiring a fox news talking head, who resigned from that gig over sexual abuse allegations, as hope hicks' replacement (deputy of communications); wheeler makes sense. to assume trump would pick someone to head the epa who has every intention of protecting the earth and its people, is feverishly foolish.

andrew wheeler makes sense because, not only is he a lobbyist, he has simply nothing to offer and will only continue policy rollbacks. hopefully, the one silver lining (if any) is finally someone can explain to trump how "clean coal" does not literally mean getting out a brush and soap and cleaning coal.

No One Cares About Donald Meeting Rocketman

president donald trump met with and is, as of typing is, still meeting with kim jong un. this is the first time in forever and who knows when, the american president and the leader of north korea have met. today's schedule had a huge "tbd" as no one knew for sure how the meeting would go. it was said if within the first five minutes it felt as though the summit would prove to be a waste of time--trump was prepared to leave. but things went well, are going well and we can all smell the engraving being made on the noble peace prize award. well, at least trump's supporters can.

while this is all happening, social media has gravitated more towards the story of a stand-up comedian getting engaged to a pop star singer. net neutrality. other stories namely because despite the event carrying historical value, the president has very little support in the grand scheme of things. dropping 121 bombs a day, or one bomb every twelve minutes, won't garnish high approval ratings.

if the president wants more recognition and attention, perhaps in addition to beefing up wars, bomb drops and drone strikes, he should start paying more attention to u.s. citizens. he could try to attend g7 meetings in a timely fashion and listen to other nations instead of running away after displaying combative behavior.

It's Been a While: What Happened to the Syrian Chemical Attack?

eva bartlett, a canadian journalist who has made it her business to uncover the truth about syria, recently spoke with redacted tonight's lee camp, about her experiences and chats with syrians. she asked them about the chemical attack and discovered no one, literally no one, died as a result. she spoke as few other journalists dare to, about the event being nothing short of a false flag designed to keep the united states involved in the region.

the photos above show a bustling city in syria. women walk the streets, citizens visit cafes, children run around and it looks like any other city around the world might. so where are these chemically attacked victims? why must the united states continue to figure out how to stick their policies and military in syria? is it too discouraging for americans to leave other nations alone and allow them to handle themselves?

is it perhaps too unbelievable a country or other nation would be able to handle itself without involvement from the us? has western media fallen silent regarding the most recent chemical attack because it truthfully never even happened? and if so, why would it matter to united states' citizens anyway? millions spent on bombs to drop in syria, is a drop in bucket. an action which holds little emotional value to the average american. they're fed news about assad, hear "chemical attack" and instantly, us citizens are on board, full steam ahead, allfor "humanitarian" reasons of course. everything has its reasons, real or fabricated.

Kim Jong Un Can Read and He Definitely Read "The Art of the Deal"

president trump is losing his mind lately, well, continues to anyway. this time, it's not over white house aides' wrongdoings, leaks from inside or the fbi. it's because north korea consistently calls his bluffs and goes against everything he tries to convey in his book, "the art of the deal". the one-time real estate mogul, who figured he could apply whatever behaviors  went unchecked in his world prior to taking office, is learning world leaders and dictators, wanting to learn more about him, can simply read his book.

kim jong un knows full well president trump is a master of media manipulation. he knows trump uses the press to both start wars and use as his mouthpiece. since day one in office, society quickly learned the way to speak to or reach trump, was to go on television and speak to him directly. all other leaders have seen this, and know it too. there is, as of now, nothing "secretive" about the former reality-show host.

beating him at his own game, jong un recognized us' military forces practicing on south korean soil. he probably got word about the special june 12th summit coins made and sold by the us government. maybe he saw blind trump supporters' chanting "nobel" at his rallies. like, "i went and hugged moon for this?" the president then takes credit not ony for korea's lovemaking, but for stepping away from the june summit. in the process, announcing china and japan will gladly incur any costs for us military action if necessary.

trump is upset because other leaders can read. but mainly he's upset because he's a player getting played and with bolton breathing down his neck for more war, despite losing bombs fast (a major reason why trump is now back in bed with china, as they help provide the us with many of its bombs' components), something must be done his way and quickly. the trump administration has dropped 80% more bombs than obama did in eight years. this administration has also the highest rate of innocent civilian deaths under its belt.

Peer-to-Peer is the New Face-to-Face as Social Media Ranks Supreme

peer-to-peer is king, face-to-face, unless via skype or google chat hangout, is fading. rarely does a corporate board meeting go by today without a member in attendance via laptop, or surrounded by a team located in a distant location, hudled around a webcam. roughly $31 billion was reportedly spent on social media advertising. and what was gained? what was the goal achieved? massive brand awareness and users' understanding of the project, product and mainly, shares and retweets. the days of in-person events and large gatherings for launches are also fading. consumer nation lives online. society finds itself streaming news, original programming and films.

this is the new society. this is the newfound frontier for companies and traditional media to reach their audiences. it's been coming for some time and now, as the numbers coming in reveal, it's here. pump online content, use "influencers", generate revenue to then afford the more traditional adverts during late night television or prime-time (whatever that is). because if consumers are as worthy as we all know they are, they must be catered to; even as artificial intelligence dives into the pool. robots can't buy anything. and as smart and helpful as artificial intelligence is and will become, they don't deposit checks nor have a cryptocurrency portfolio. once they find out the means to independently invest for themselves and other robots, heads will explode. but, this is virtually impossible.

humans are humans. still capable of good and bad. still doing its best to regulate most facets of society and smack a label or team sticker on citizens. the united states has grown more divided over the past decade. namely because this lack of face-to-face, discussion and debate hinders true progress. given the lethargy and compassionless era, blanketing nearly everyone the world over, it's probably easiest to stick to online conversation and argument. it's safest to argue with a twitter bot, than actually physically listen to another person convey their opinions. just as it's easier to promote products and companies on social media where e-commerce flourishes as brands basque in the sunshine.

Israeli Jews Like Israeli Arabs But Not Enough to Live Beside Them

the above photos are taken from kfar vadim. it's an affluent, community driven part of israel and not too long ago, they put some properties up for auction--great news for the hard-working arabs whom mainly consider themselves and their families, as members of this israeli neighborhood. for far too long, may israeli Arabs have been frowned upon, not to be taken seriously due to their financial hardships and often, lack of proper eduction.

and though over time, the arabs have been working hard to to educate themselves and provide for their families, the old stigmas have followed their progress, without reason or justification.

back in 2012, the times of israel reported 52% of jews viewed african migrants as a "cancer". toward the end of 2017, netanyahu drove home this view by offering $5K for every african asylum seeker taken away by any other nation. "get them out of here. we don't want or need them and we'll pay any leader to take them." {I'm paraphrasing here}

this of course came from the same netanyahu who recently managed to dig up old nuclear tests, documents on cds and lab experiments from the 1990's; all in effort to prove why trump, nor the world for this matter, should ever trust iran and their "slim to none" ability to develop a uranium nuclear warhead.

believer or not, trump of course agreed to back the israeli prime minister's decades' old information. clearly, a decision he would have wanted to arrive at despite whatever ill-informed propaganda netanyahu spat.

perhaps one would not have to hold their breathe very long before we see "trump synagogues" and "trump scheckle gambling casinos".

in march, the affluent israeli arabs, whom were accepted by those israeli jews in the kfar vadim, suddenly flipped when they discovered the same arabs sucefully put in bids for over 58 units of the 125 offered within the commounity. in fact, after much uproar and whining, the mayor of kfar vadim actually gave in, caved to the pressure, stopped the auction and reportedly stated: "i (sivan yechiel) am responsible for preserving “the secular-Jewish-Zionist” character of the town and was (am) asking the government to find a solution to ensure “demographic balances.”

wow. first off, what a shame the true colors of those "liberal and accepting" israeli jews, was seen in such a vile way. second, what kind of spineless mayor can so easily back out of giving opportunities to israeli arabs who busted their backs to, in most cases, be the first in their families to attend college/university, earn a substantial income to live in beautiful neighborhoods?

even when those who once may have been a "have not", the bombastic task of assilimlating into different cultures harms the psyche of those who finally made it. made to it a point where all they want is a safe home and sufficient income to give back to the commohnities in question, and/or, simply provide for their family.

mayor yechiel's attitude and behavior isn't too far off from most of America's landlords, mayors, senators and politicians in general. no one white in the United States, despite embracing black culture and arts, deep down, wants people of color moving into their community. there's no difference between the israeli two-faced friend to the arab and the white, jay-z quoting, two-faced liberal. properties can really not decrease in value based on factors such as high mortgages, depleted homes, loss of jobs and so on. not because people of color move in the town. affluence seems a more exclusive tribe than once imagined.

open conversation and discussion, even debate, needs more encouragement. and it can't exist online. more people must meet face-to-face and listen to one another if attitudes and race relations are ever going to change. globally. locally.

Another Day Another School Shooting

pictured above is a tweet from the president. what kind of tweet is this? what kind of leader would write something so cryptic and nonsensical?

pictured above, a man holding an american flag with a gun on his hip, showed up outside the school and told reporters to "make america great again". strange. here he was, gun on hip, outside a school where 10 children were killed.

there have, thus far, been 22 school shootings in the united states this year. the gun control marches from not long ago, proved to be more of a message to society than a demand from government to do anything. and get ahve they done? what are they doing? seeing how this keeps happening, one may assume not much at all is being done.

the shooter stole the guns from his father, went to school nd committed his evil. why weren't the guns locked away? were they and the son knew how to get them? will the father be arrested for negligence?

as of now, fox news is suggesting video games be better regulated. as if yes, video games was reason for these heinous acts of violence in schools.

we live in a violent world. from america to syria, israel to africa violence is the power most adored. perhaps if people had more money, and societies were better able to feed themselves and have access to funds, the violence could possibly lessen or cease.

Let's Get Ready to Torture

gina haspel was confirmed as the cia's new director. no surprise here as despite her inability to recognize torture from the bush administration as "immoral", many hawks around town, like her style. she does what she's told. she's never wavered from what's moral and what isn't. it's beer mattered really to haspel. when she has a job to do, she's done it. when asked to destroy hours of tapes showing torture conducted, she did it.

when the president made it clear "torture works" and the only way to get at terrorists was to "kill their families", this wasn't just fodder for the media to twist and condemn. he was serious. during a time trump was known to make off-color remarks, and dismiss them as "gags" or "goofs"; as did his supporters--his position on the use of torture was very real.

as israel and the rest of the middle east battle, kill and die, those who threaten united states democracy and freedom, can rest assured knowing if they make it to american soil, they will most likely be tortured to death. "it works" and the new cia director won't be refuting this notion any time soon.

Apathy and Complacency is Destroying the United States

the complacency of society and those around this toxic administration, is slowly starting to have a profound affect on the united states' foreign policies, global image and economy. now that president trump is being pushed onto the global stage, his days on the golf course aren't as frequent. his gags and jokes are saved for rallies. for those who support him-they get the jokes. but does trump himself? has he yet to realize the window for silencing nay-sayers and those against a military/oil-based economy, is closing?

unfortunately, despite the audits to take place with the pentagon to discover what exactly happened over time to taxpayers' $21 trillion, will soon fall to the wayside as the alleged syrian chemical attack takes centerstage.

destroying the iran nucaler deal after only three years, was a major diplomatic mistake. a mistake well-planned to coincide with the opening of the us embassy in jeruselum, on the 70th anniversary of israel being granted the land itself, and a week before ramadan--the muslim time for month-long fasting. the timing of it all is ridiculous at best. somewhere along the line, some zionist thug musta phoned a trump aide to let them know how solid the timing of it all truly was.

nonetheless, is all of this to say an unqualified political leader, given time, can be bought and converted into the likes of every other president? is this to say gary cooper's "john doe" could have taken over the white house, and needn't have surrounded himself with those capable of steering him clear of corruption and controversy?

ultimately, while the president did stand true to his campaign promise of bringing the embassy to jeruseulm--in terms of helping his own country, the swamp is not yet drained. at all. and if he refuses money from lobbyists, he shouldn't gloat for accepting money from other nations' leaders.

Dear America, What the Hell Are You Doing?

with 52 protestors already confirmed dead and a reportedly 2,400 more injured at the gaza strip, one has to ask was israel's capital's move really necessary? rather, was america's embassy move to jerusalem necessary? israel has always considered its capital to be in jerusalem. that's nothing new. but, they never quite officially, on paper, promoted it until now. now america has sealed the deal.

bill clinton, w bush, obama all said during their times in office, they would acknowledge jerusalem as the capital and thus, move the embassy there. none of them ever actually did it, obviously. this fact, will, no doubt, be reason why trump supporters will shout, "he's a man true to his word", as during his presidential campaign, he did state he would make the move. so while kushner silently made trips to israel, and is expected to return to the region again very soon, to discuss peace in the middle east; it's become clear his father-in-law isn't putin's puppet, but netanyahu's rag doll.

while israeli and united states' "politicians" were inside the new american embassy, listening to one another give kudos and congratulations, the strip was literally on fire and under it. the numbers of deaths and injuries will, without question, rise by the time this piece is published. israel is bombing and killing at an alarming rate. and if the chemical attack in syria, not long ago, was worthy of attack for humanitarian issues, why isn't anything being done to stop israel? and how are they affording all of these military actions? what's to be gained in the seven-plus weeks of killing peaceful protestors? shooting children and journalists goes by unreported by us mainstream media.

just how much skin does america have in the violence in the middle east? and why have transparency and compassion fallen to the wayside? is it easier to not let a depressed society know every little "detail" like assisting rebels and terrorists on foreign soil? like utilizing taxpayers' money by bypassing congress and spending it any which way possible?

or maybe america is wiling to do anything for allies who still worship the dollar? as some nations disregard the us dollar, the farther their distance and relationship with america appears.

any which way one looks at it, this terrible global scene taking place, one thing is certain: another questionable action was taken by president trump and his administration; yet, he'll be expectig his nobel.

Israel Hates Iran and Dude, Where’s our $21 Trillion

as soon as the united states, after three years, decided to get out of the most restrictive nuclear arms deal ever, with another nation, israel seized the moment to strike iran forces located in syria. the notion these iranian forces struck first is manipulative. meanwhile, other nations such as france and germany, are remaining in the deal.

what does this mean for the united states’ image around the world? does the president even care? most likely, he does not. his heart is with israel, as the us embassy readies to relocate back to jeruseulm—the once again, capital of israel. many years ago, after looking around and seeing it was one of only a mere handful of nations to recognize jeruseulm as the capital, the united stated backed out and sided with the united nations’ assessment that it was not the capital.

the six day war in june of 1967, made it very clear israel was the most dominate in the region. don’t mess with israel, screw texas, israel means business. in fact, during the six days, the united states’ very own naval spy ship, the uss liberty, was attacked for roughly two hours by unmarked israeli jets. though navy officers were quick to get the american flag up, to show just who they were attacking, it meant nothing as they soon bombarded the ship with napalm and jammed the ship’s communication systems. survivors were offered up to $10k a head, to keep their mouths shut. john mccain’s father was at the helm of the cover-up. years later, the truth came out by those who experienced the terror first hand.

prime minister, netenyahu, educated in the united states, was asked to speak before congress on march 5th, 2015. his speech received more standing ovations than obama ever received (on the same congress floor) in his eight years as president. take a look at this event and one notices after about 10 minutes in, the prime minister sounds no different than any other republican neo-conservative in attendance:

but how does ending the nuke deal with iran look to korea? to europe? to russia? should anyone care? is this just “business as usual”? contrary to the wartime rhetoric spewed by netenyahu, a mere week before trump’s announcement, iran is not working on nuclear bombs or warheads. the slideshow and props used by the prime minister are dated and essentially make no sense to the common political junkie. the only thing taken away from his presentation was netenyahu is a grand manipulator, concerned only with dominatatimg his region.

electing this president didn’t erase trust from allies and the like. rather, the president’s actions and behavior are reason for concern. french president, macron, trump’s newfound best friend, stayed in the deal. mattis, whom trump has great respect for and frankly, would be even more lost without in his circle, was the first to suggest staying in the deal. mattis was also under the impression chemicals were not utilized in the last internal syrian attack. but again, trump didn’t listen and decided to dump $221 million into air striking them. this action only killed more innocent civilians including women and children. in fact, since getting into office, trump has successfully killed more innocent lives than obama did in his eight years. staggering really.

Gina Haspel Will Become the Head of the CIA

gina haspel is a day away from getting to lead the cia. she shouldn't, but she will. the senate may grill her, and though she offered to withdraw her nomination, she was advised to stay the course, knowing they'll let her in because this administration promotes violence.

Why Gary Webb's Work Still Matters if Interested in Truth

gary webb was an independent journalist and uncovered one of the greatest government messes of the 20th century. he found connections with the cia, nicaraguan contra and the crack epidemic of the 1980's, which, didn't receive nearly any of the attention the opioid crisis presently receives. cocaine was transported from nicaraguan rebels in exchange for united states' arms and money. the coke was then dished out to people of color. "freeway" rick ross figured out how to turn coke into rock/crack, and sell it for less. on a good day, which was frequent enough, ross earned $1 million a day. it's been reported at the time of his sentencing, freeway rick had raked in $1 billion. but his product came from the cia. it was a great trade: keep the people of color addicted and poor, while fucking with another nation's war by providing cash and guns.
oliver north is about to become the president of the nra. the cia may possibly be lead by a woman who supports torture and carried out astonishing acts of evil. gina haspel is no different than the cia who provided guns to the contra while pumping crack into los angeles' impoverished neighborhoods. in both instances, the cia tortured a lot of people.
gary webb's series for a sacramento newspaper regarding the cia's behavior and its consequences, in 1996/1997, was akin to snowden talking to wikileaks about the nsa. this was a shocking story. his paper was quick to deflate the story and rather than defend webb for his suburb journalism, condemned and distanced themselves from him. in 2004, despite the coroner's initial report of finding a lifeless gary webb with two gunshot wounds to the head (which was later changed to one), his death was quickly ruled a "suicide", without investigation nor looking into webb's claims of odd government people scaling his house; and leaving hurriedly whenever he came home. he wrote, close to his death in an email, "if i die, it won't be from suicide", even webb knew it was bound to happen. webb knew he was going to have to be silenced. especially since he was working on a book about his work on the "dark alliance" series regarding the cia and drugs.
webb and his story still matter today, in 2018, because as all media is deemed "false" and "the enemy" by the present administration, they do in fact sway from truly telling any sort of truth. corporate mainstream media has a real issue these days: from hyping up the stories of Russia collusion, Stormy Daniels vs The Donald to Kanye West tweets and old mayors turned raging lunatic, presidential attorney. webb wanted the truth, reported it and was silenced for it. heralded a hero posthumously. these days, when a reporter tells the truth, or, reports on matters media usually won't, that reporter is deemed, "a risk taker" a "whistleblower" and "edgy". as if the notion of reporting such things is outside the norm and so foreign it confuses some people. and so society has issues accepting truth or even exploring it and having conversation. it's as though truth itself has become an esteemed and valuable commodity; or perhaps a scarlet letter to be worn by those who seek it.

Who Are The Oscar Winning White Helmets and Should We Care?

in the first photo above, a man seems to be in a lot of pain. his legs seemingly (in the video footage) crushed under a pile of rocks, cement and debris. the volunteers swoop in and help the man stand up and get out of the rubble.

the second picture below, shows all the same men from the first photo, but now, everything is cool. even the victim, once wincing in pain, unable to move, poses for the photo. an over-the-top affirmation the operation went well. the man whose legs were crushed, stands on his own. no shoulder necessary.

the white helmets are an organization whose main responsibility is to be the first to respond to tragic events, and help rescue and save victims. they won an oscar yet didn’t show up. none of them showed up. society both loves and detests them. simply put—no one knows truthfully, where their heart lies except they themselves.

sure, they’ve received money and funding from various systems of government. absolutely, they can indeed be deemed shady as a lone skeleton slowly walking down a one-way street. at the same time, there are a great number of americans and otherwise, who feel empowered and proud of their “work”.

perhaps the white helmets are a mix of the two? con rescue workers. that has an awfully sweet ring to it. a testament of our times.

Israel Keeps Their Eye on the Prize With Help From the West

another day, another protest at the gaza strip. another day, more violence from israel and the west turns its head to focus on other issues like comey’s book, stormy daniels, may defending her military action in syria and so on. nothing to see here. or “there”, rather. iranian military battles with israel’s, concurrent to the killing of unarmed protestors and reporters.

for more land? to distract from netnyahu’s own corruption? money? the reasons are most likely endless. but it’s become harder to believe us involvement in syria is over “humanitarian” issues, when israeli killings and systematic removal of its asylum seekers, goes by virtually unnoticed.

granted, assad is evil despite the “i’m just a family guy” facade. nut so is putin, and no one has done anything but exploit his behavior and actions as thought he’s a cool robert deniro character. it’s only recently trump lashed out at russia, for being best friends with assad. it wasn’t long ago, trump, against better judgement, called putin to ingratiate him for winning the russian presidenecy...again.

so how much power must israel have in order to go by, unchallenged, for their behavior? have any western leaders called and asked netanyahu to stop? doubtful. seemingly, killing iranians at will, is allowable. and why not? after all, one of the facilities the united states managed to destroy in syria, was a center for cancer research.

the air strike was ordered as comey started making his rounds on television. not long after mueller raided trump’s attorney, Michael Cohen’s office. it all smells like clinton-sudan, bush-iraq, obama-afghanistan. apparently, trump did study up on his history a bit.

Capitalism Isn't Working But Don't Tell the 1%-10%

living with a corrupt government isn't easy. today. it seems corruption is the only way to get things done. that without being corrupt, the wheel stops. it's the overriding system and the go-to during times of global unrest and violence. countries' citizens are rarely heard, or at least, seldom receive the promises nations' leaders make. poverty is still a growing issue, globally, and as the chasm widens between the haves and have-nots, compassion, care and even a simple acknowledgement of those left behind in the new economy are nowhere to be found.

it appears it's easiest and most financially rewarding, to let the poor kill and eat itself. the more society pushes back and wants answers, the less powerful political crooks and cronies become. but instances of resistance are far and between. marches and protests occur. but nothing changes. certainly not overnight. but for now, certainly not in a year.

society's financial gap is widening like the cracked ice in the arctic. sea levels are rising and no one cares. they have their own things to worry about. like, how to pay for the family's health insurance, bills, rent, debt and more with only a $30k yearly salary. it's nearly impossible and as time goes on, it's getting harder as the salaries drop. companies aren't offering the incentives they used to. these days, the sentiment is, "be happy you're working" and in a way, this sentiment is right. it's what keeps the population stuck at 40+ hours a week for paychecks which in no way reflect the hard work done.

can anyone remember the last time a president focused on ending poverty? jeff bazos is worth a few billion and can feed, clothe and house every homeless family in the united states. but he hasn't and he won't. why should he? the laws of capitalism do not require anyone to have to "give back". and at the end of the day, that expression is missed by most with substantial wealth.

the occupy wall street movement called necessary attention to the great divide, yet, it was squashed after x-amount of days and the rich went right back to getting rich; the poor, poorer. the middle class floor is shrinking and again, the long-game plan is nil. with so few able to fund a $1k emergency, and credit card debts, sinking people into homelessness, for many at the top, preying upon the working class is a game passed on from generation to generation. the problem is, for the beautiful 1%-10%, they no longer have compassion. they rarely fund art programs. forget the numerous, female-focused social networks and organizations.

capitalism is working for a select group. only a few from millions of americans. so, they'd most likely be the first to say capitalism is fine and dandy. worth the heartache, well worth the solitude. the obvious problem here of course is those who don't have, have not anywhere else to turn. unless they turn towards crime, military, drug abuse, physical abuse towards self and/or others and so on. without the same opportunities those who have, have had, one starts life on the wrong side of the bed.

if large companies such as amazon and banks like bank of america, retired the notion of paying top-level executives bonuses over $100k, actually paid taxes and cut back hours, the mythical, "trickle down" could actually appear. society has the means to get families and individuals off the streets. unfortunately, capitalism has killed the notion of helping anyone. remember, the opening to the president's reality show, features an opening shot of a homeless man on the street, then trump, stepping out of a limo. who would you want to be?

Everything At Once Theory Explained

societal issues are usually, normally, presented a few at a time. sometimes, and rarely, will societies find themselves emersed with everything at once. but perhaps since around a decade ago, issues and events have indeed, presented themselves all at once. as is the case with the united states, the moral fabrics which bind all together, seem to be busting quite a bit and no one seems the wiser. apathy mixed with the stinging effects of exhaustion, depression and skepticism have battered society’s will and spirit. the fat continue to get fatter and the thin just watch, idly. there's no common ground, no empathy. it's "my way or the highway" and good luck being heard.

prior to the election of trump, things were bubbling. his becoming president, somehow, allowed for guards to come down. for bigot flags to fly. for pc culture to clash with those politically incorrect. for as many people who loved obama, there were many who didn't. with his leaving the white house, an extreme right population, louder than the tea party, made it clear they weren't happy for the past eight years. wanting to implode the government, voting for trump seemed the appropriate thing to do for many.

with students, victims of a school shooting, organizing marches to better gun control, young people in chicago ask, "what about us?". losing 17 people to gun violence is an everyday event in parts of chicago. the gun violence is out of control there. more people have died in chicago from gun violence than the number of fallen united states' troops in both iraq and afghanistan.

opioid addiction is also taking many lives throughout the country. but so did crack and as pbs brilliantly and recently pointed out, no one did much about that epidemic at the time. but with salaries low, and taxes high, since the economy is tanking and no one cares, why not sell or consume opioids? why not smoke or sell crack? one generally earns a higher income this way anyway, than your typical 9-5 position. in other words, with poverty throughout so much of the united states, what choice do citizens have other than to feed their depression or earn income illegally. online scams. identity theft. data theft. like facebook did. there's money in that.

the problem is these issues have only been building up and getting increasingly larger over time. and now when it's apparent the country is truly at the mercy of an administration of shady kings and queens who care not about the people, everything at once, is being tossed into the fire. every issue, begging for and worthy of any attention, support and help. these are the same issues as before (chicago had its violence while obama and others were in office), but are only now more intense because no one at the top has, nor will, help.

So Long, Dodd Frank and Thanks For Nothing

with 16 (or is it 17?) democrats helping to push through the destruction of dodd frank, reform and regulation of wall street and big banks, all flies out the window. as if 2008 never happened and taxpayers across the united stated never bailed out lehman brothers, auto makers and others. as if there never was a recession merely eight years ago.

major commercial banks who fail to claim $250 billion in assets, will soon be deemed, “local” and “small” banks. free of any stress tests from the federal reserve. and why not? after all, amazon doesn’t have to pay their federal taxes, right? neither does verizon and boeing. because corporations are like people: they have a face and like us; and work hard to provide a service to others. sure.

in other words, when this upcoming crash, crashes, taxpayers may expect to bail out major banks, wall street firms and more. certainly more than ‘08. and if anyone recalls, back then, people of color and women had to pay higher interest rates than white men. no question, with this present administration being what it is, and society in general seemingly losing grip of its moral fabric, we will see a return of these groups being hit the hardest during the eventual collapse.

ever since the #MeToo backlash from “powerful” boys clubs and french actresses everywhere, there’s a silent movement happening which will only stand to gain from the crash. that’s when they can fire staff, keep and harass some, embarrass and scorn the others. “want your job? watch me shower.” during times of distress the demons come out to roost. beware the wrath of kevin spacey.

a trump administration facing and dealing with an economic crash will be entertaining. it’ll be watched with hungry, unemployed eyes, waiting still for opportunity to knock as it did for the donald. and since the democratic party will offer little to no solutions, where will society turn? since the democrats seem to reject progression, where will this leave the people? with 2018 being an election year for other members of the government, and dems needing 24 seats to gain control of the house, of the approximately 115+ elections, 44 feature a democratic candidate with eityer a background in the cia or military. will the democratic party fill those seats with the butts of former intelligence agents and veterans?

there are presently parts of africa where they’d rather utilize cryptocurrency than their surplus of USD. good is dropping and thanks to trump’s tariffs, so are steel and most metals. as the united states scrambles to find other sources for oil, it finds itself wanting to distance itself from allies, yet somehow, needs to end up alongside them. it’s akin to a really bad road trip movie. we’re talking adam sandler and colin powell bad. so bad it becomes an underground cult hit and years later, taken seriously and rebooted with kevin james and oliver north.

there are also parts of africa where rounding up white farmers and their families, killing and raping them, is the norm. but instead, the united states chooses to drop bombs over syria because, “humanitarian efforts”. oh, and trump is a bigly shareholder of exxonmobil. which is why rex doesn’t really mind getting fired. it gives him chance to finish deals with russia—a place which donned tillerson with a medal for his major dealings with them. ah, oil.

crash. right. it’ll happen. and when it does it’ll be bad for a while but then be okay again when the banks print more money and reimburse us via instagram with qr codes we can scan. but users will feel used when the process of printing the code then using their phone to scan the print, takes way longer than expected. so long that it’s probably easier to just forgo the funds and just take the loss. cryptocurrency will save the world after bitcoin surpasses $14k, during the summer. it’ll be a digital revolution with bots, banks and old dinosaurs, laughing their way to the big banks.

Mass Shootings Are the New American Pastime

"well, jim, today's shooting killed only 26 and injured a measly 16." it's been stated, most every shooter, killer, keeps past numbers in mind. as though every mass shooter inspires the one who comes after them. a sick cycle which will seemingly continue to spin. the nra pulls the strings of many politicians and those who feel they were born with the right to own an assault rifle, will never bend. no matter who is killed. no matter the ages of the victims. therefore, it makes sense mass killings become the united states' new pastime.

when a mass killing event happens, everyone loves to get involved somehow. some way. people go online. investigate what they know about the event. research names. scour the internet for as much information or red flags as possible. the need for society to play detective kicks in quickly. before the dead are buried, we've already been exposed to as much information as possible. then, usually after a week and a few days, the event is forgotten about. what makes the parkland, florida event unique is the story hasn't gone away. something which hasn't happened since newtown and columbine before it.

in the wild, there exists what's known as, "mass mortality events" or mme. in january, 2018, 20,000 saiga antelope died within a week in kazakhstan. in 2015, roughly 45,000 flying foxes died in a day. sometimes this happens due to disease or these days, because of rising temperatures. are mass shootings humans' mme? is it easier to let humans kill one another off than to protect humans from killing one another off?

#MeToo Could Have Started in 1998

bill clinton “did not have sexual relations with that woman, miss lewinsky.” or at least he didn’t think he did because his definition of the term “sexual relations” wasn’t clear. in fact, during his deposition  he goes on at great length, to start, trying to figure out what the term actually means. it doesn’t sound, at the time, as though he does. but after linda tripp’s recorded conversations with lewinsky were released, lewinsky herself went before the grand jury, and that blue dress was handed over as dna evidence, clinton changed his tune and admitted he did have sexual relations with her. but, his admission to the country wouldn’t come until after he and hillary dragged monica through the gutter. even the erroneous bombing of a sudanese pharmaceutical factory which occurred around the same time lewinsky was to go before the grand jury, turned out to be nothing other than a tragic distraction.

despite denying sexual assault allegations from multiple women, and the affair with lewinsky, bill clinton was eventually impeached. life went on. everything regarding his time in office, came and went. it wouldn’t be until the hillary/trump battle for the white house, this would all be revisited. the notion of one sexual abuser (trump) calling out another (bill clinton) was irony at its finest. and now, with trump in office, society once again finds itself faced with a president complete with a torrid past.

while clinton scandals like whitewater morphed into trump’s russia collusion and other conflicts of interest, the sexual abuse issue has remained the same. but now, with the birth of the #metoo movement and victims of sexual abuse feeling empowered to share their stories, society’s landscape regarding what it accepts and doesn’t, has changed. a rebirth of morals and ethics continues to mature. social media has helped tremendously.

in 1998, the internet was alive but brand spanking new. it wasn’t until 2007, the web’s very first hashtag appeared on twitter. thirty years ago, society scrambled for aol free internet disks to hop online and explore the brave new world. so, while there certainly may have been various chat rooms to visit and digitally chat, no one was using the internet in the ways they do now. what would monica clinton memes have looked like? what kind of wild arguments would have been had on facebook then?

now that society has tools like social media and the abilities to create content at will, political/sexual abuse and corruption don’t go unnoticed as it used to. hillary clinton, despite her past and present shady actions and behavior, was clearly the better candidate in 2016. would she had won if she divorced bill in 1998? would she have won if she believed lewinsky instead of trying to defame her? perhaps she would have won had she simply visited wisconsin?

bill clinton, like some other men in society, has received a pass for his behavior. to this point, trump has also received a pass. their charming and manipulative ways have obviously covered their dark sides. of course, a man’s level of power determines how much they get away with. had harvey weinstein been a president or senator, would his fall still occur? if producing hit movies doesn’t completely protect a rapist from being taken down, why should being a president?

the #metoo movement has reached politics. roy moore lost. franken is stepping down. anthony wiener left. but trump, still sits in the white house. and as society accepted oj simpson’s acquittal in exchange for aquitting the officers who pummeled rodney king; so will society accept bringing down an incompetent sexual predator in trump, in exchange for allowing bill clinton to sit in office to finish out his term, despite being impeached.

But What About Modern Day Slaves?

as the united states deals with a ton of issues, every nation essentially deals with its issues, there remains an elephant in the room which continues to grow larger every day: slavery. we may not see it or know anyone who has, yet, it exists. and despite all major issues facing societies today, this issue is rarely discussed or examined.

it is completely possible for nations to address multiple issues at once. it happens all the time. we can examine high unemployment, sexual assault, race relations, gender pay equality in the workplace and more all at once. they’re all important. but while modern day slavery is perhaps as well-known as say, the opioid epidemic, there is seemingly nothing being done about it. a celebrity appears on a talk show and talks about it, but aside from awareness, what else is being done?

“time’s up” pins are donned during awards shows, yet, where are the “end slavery” pins or hashtags? where are the lectures and webinars regarding modern slavery and how to combat it? where are the protests demanding the release of kidnapped children? kidnapped women and men? the time’s up and metoo movements are important. so is black lives matter. this doesn’t mean slavery is more important, it just means it needs to receive as much attention as kelly ann conway does. more than she does. it also means society doesn’t have to focus on one thing or none at all.

but why doesn’t modern slavery receive as much attention as other issues today? is it because it’s such a helpless issue? is it because we’re simply not supposed to discuss it or acknowledge it? as the united states’ administration strives to focus only on itself and distance itself from old allies, perhaps it’s a combination of helplessness and a dash of “who cares” mentality. unfortunately for president trump, approximately 55,000 slaves live in the united states, so where’s the room to not care? he can’t even dismiss the problem as one belonging only to “shithole” countries. it’s our problem too.

mainly, companies and entities willing to destroy our planet (chemicals, pesticides, &c...) use slaves to perform grunt work. children, men. brothals, online sex shows and others use slaves to unwillingly have sex or perform sex acts on camera. children, women. sex parties, featuring underage sex slaves to pass around and rape, exist and like all other slave-holders, bring in lots of money. because when one is an important powerful man, one can write a check to pay for any acts of depreivity and evil.

but as was the case with corey feldman and others who tried to out pedophiles, society cares for a minute then moves on. pedophilia seems an issue still so taboo in society, when it’s mentioned, it floats for a while then falls because it’s simply too dark for discussion. the problem obviously, in letting dark subjects like modern day slavery and pedophilia fall to the wayside, is these horrible atrocities will continue. and ultimately, when society picks and chooses its battles, the selfishness in this prevents true change and justice from being served.
